Orthopedic
Associates has one of the few fellowship
Pediatric trained orthopedic surgeons in the state
and provides a wide range of services to children
with orthopedic conditions and diseases. Common childhood
conditions such as in-toeing and gait abnormalities,
as well as other disorders including hip instability,
clubfeet and limb abnormalities can be evaluated and
appropriate treatment option reviewed with parents.
Children with acquired disorders such as painful flatfeet,
Perthes and rotational lower extremity disorder have
several treatment options now. Significant injuries
can occur in the pre-adolescent years and surgical
repair of injured extremities can improve healing
in a predictable manner expediting a return to activities.
When conservative measures are not indicated or fail,
appropriate surgical intervention may be considered
to improve treatment and speed recovery of pediatric
orthopedic conditions.
